SEMESTER 9
A Music Therapy Internship MUTX 449 or a combination of 349/449 for an additional 5 credits
(6 credits total) must be completed following academic work on campus and preceding the
granting of the degree.
A Guitar Proficiency examination must be passed before taking MUTX 215. MUTX 116 may be available for students with no guitar experience. The Wellness requirement is met through IDIS 260.
The Cultural Diversity requirement is met through MUSI 225, MUTX 298, and MUTX 312. Service Learning is met through MUTX 449.
GENERAL EDUCATION PROGRAM – MUSIC THERAPY MAJOR
GE I A For. Lang. or if For. Lang. competency is already met, any GE I A course - 3-4 credits
GE I B Math 104 or higher or if Math Competency is already met, any GE 1 B course - 3-4 credits
GE II Biol 151 and 5 additional credits, of which 1 course is non-Biology – total of 9 credits
GE III 9 credit minimum met through Psyc 100, Soc 101 and Soc Elective
– total of 9 credits (Be sure to choose a Soc Elective at the 300
level.)
GE IV 9 credit minimum met through IDIS 103, 260, MUSI 225, plus MUSI
