Task Organization: Blugold Company

1. Situation.
a. Area of Interest.  University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire campus.
b. Area of Operations.  Eau Claire, WI.
c. Enemy Forces.  None.
d. Friendly Forces.  Falcon Co. conducts professional development training at University of Wisconsin – River Falls, and Blue Devil Co. conducts professional development training at University of Wisconsin – Stout.

2. Mission.  Blugold Company conducts professional leadership development training at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire campus and surrounding area from 06SEP11 – 14DEC11 in order to develop leadership skills and attributes in MS I and II cadets, and to prepare MS III’s for LDAC 2012.

3. Execution.

Commander’s Intent.  My intent is that all MS I and MS II cadets develop proficiency in basic soldiering skills, leadership skills, and interpersonal skills, and that all MS III cadets are fully prepared for success at LDAC 2012.

            Key Tasks:
Compile Company Alpha Roster.
Conduct initial, mid – semester, and final counseling’s.
Conduct Weekly APFT Training.
Conduct 2 Diagnostic APFT’s – 05OCT11 and 02NOV11 – and 1 Record APFT on 07DEC11.
Execute weekly labs.
Attend Fall Semester Battalion FTX at Fort McCoy, WI.
Conduct one major fundraiser.
Organize Ranger Challenge Team.
Organize color guard.
Conduct CIF issue and turn-in.
Organize and prepare for Annual Northwoods Battalion Military Ball 18FEB12.
End State: All MS I and II cadets will have adequate knowledge to prepare them for their MS III year; all MS III cadets will be sufficiently prepared for success at LDAC 2012, and Blugold Company will be prepared for success in upcoming semesters.

a. Concept of the Operations.  This operation will be conducted in three phases:
1) Planning.
2) Execution.
3) After Action Review.

            b. Scheme of Manuever.
1) Phase 1 (Planning)
a) c/CO meets with c/1SG and/or c/XO to brief plan 02SEP11.
b) Final semester OPORD briefing 05SEP11 to company leadership.
2) Phase 2 (Execution)
a) Begins with first company leadership lab conducted by CPT Frahm and SSG Geiger on 060630SEP11 in room 162 of the Ade Olson Addition of McPhee Strength and Performance Center.
1. Company leadership gathers initial cadet information for battalion Alpha Roster.
2. S-4 coordinates with c/PL’s and c/PSG’s for specific appointments for CIF.
b) c/CO conducts weekly training meetings with essential personnel in order to prepare for follow-on training.
c) c/CO conducts initial counseling for c/PL’s NLT 09SEP11.
d) c/PL’s conduct initial counseling for c/PSG’s NLT 14SEP11.
e) c/XO conducts initial counseling for company S-1 – 6, fundraiser SPO and PAO NLT 21SEP11.
f) c/PSG’s conduct initial counseling for c/SL’s NLT 21SEP11.
g) Company leadership conducts mid-semester garrison leadership final counseling 14 – 20OCT11.
h) Garrison MS III leadership rotates 21OCT11.
i) Company leadership conducts initial counseling for new garrison leadership 25OCT11 – 01NOV11.
j) Company leadership conducts final garrison counseling 28NOV11 – 06DEC11.
k) MS III’s lead weekly platoon physical fitness training sessions.
l) Blugold Co. conducts 2 diagnostic APFT sessions – 05OCT11 and 02NOV11 – and 1 record APFT session on 07DEC11.
m) MS III’s execute weekly company leadership training labs on Tuesdays from 0630-0830.
n) Blugold Co. cadets attend Northwoods Battalion FTX at Fort McCoy.
o) Blugold Co. cadets participate in Ranger Challenge competition at Fort McCoy 30SEP – 02OCT.
p) Colorguard OIC prepares colorguard team for event on 28SEP11, and future opportunities.
q) Fundraiser SPO(s) conduct 1 major fundraising event NLT 18NOV11.
3) Phase 3 (After Action Review)
a) Company leadership conducts mid-semester AAR 21OCT11.
b) c/CO, c/XO, and fundraiser participants conduct AAR at completion.
c) Company leadership conducts final end of semester AAR 06DEC11.
c. Tasks to Subordinate Units. Sponsors must complete UWEC cadet in-processing form and turn in to Recruiting and Retention NCO NLT COB 14SEP11.
d. Coordinating Instructions.
1) Tasks to Staff.
a) c/XO coordinates with c/CO to appoint cadets to S-Shops, PAO, fundraising SPO, SIMS OIC, Recruiting and Retention NCO NLT 05SEP11.
b) c/XO and S-1 complete UWEC Alpha Roster NLT 16SEP11.
c) Lab OIC’s brief tentative plan 3 weeks prior at company training meeting, complete a draft OPORD 2 weeks prior to lab, and have a final version and rehearsals complete 1 week prior to execution.
d) PT instructors brief tentative plan at company training meeting, brief tentative plan to CPT Frahm 2 weeks prior to execution, and brief the finalized plan 1 week prior to execution.
e) c/XO coordinates with S-Shops to complete ride plan NLT COB 09SEP11.
g) S-3 posts training schedule week to week.

4. Sustainment.
a. Logistics.
1) Class II.
a) Contracted and non-contracted cadets will receive uniforms and equipment from battalion S-4.
b) Contracted and non-contracted cadets will receive classroom and instructional materials from company S-4 and / or cadre.
2) Class VIII. CLS bag available.
b. Personnel. N/A.
c. Health System Support. All minor injuries will be treated on site by designated CLS NCO, SSG Geiger.  Life, limb, and vision threatening injuries will be evaluated and stabilized, then transported to nearest hospital.  Cadre will contact civilian emergency via 911.

5. Command and Control.
a. Command.
