On October 20, 2004, the Fall 2004 Geography 360 students and Professor Harry Jol took a tour of Crystal Cave. The tour was lead by Jean Place. Crystal Cave is located about six miles from Spring Valley, Wisconsin on Highway 29 in the western part of the state. To get to Crystal Cave we took I-94 West to Highway 128 South(Figure One). From Highway 128 we went west on Highway 29 through Spring Valley. The tour started around 12pm and lasted about an hour and half. The temperature inside the cave was 49˚ F. The field trip was taken to study caves and karst type features.
