If you are installing a new operating system on an existing computer, be sure to back up your data.

 

Make sure you have an operating system that is compatible with your hardware (32-bit vs 64-bit, sufficient processor, hardware, disk space).

 

Removing prior Windows installations

Insert the installation disk and start up your computer.
