Research

My research lies in the area of finite group theory. I am particularly interested in studying the subgroups of a direct product of two groups. The properties which could further characterize these subgroups is a very interesting topic. In my dissertation, I worked on the subgroup lattice of a direct product of two groups. This work led to the construction of two really nice subgroup lattices that contain the extraspecial groups of order 32. This is an exciting area of mathematics because it allows one to use his/her knowledge of groups, products of groups, subgroup lattices and algebra.
