This passion for photography started for Berg during her freshman year of high school. Not only did she excel in the classes, she was privileged to hold an independent study of art and photography. The study that Berg attained throughout her high school years allowed her to become the editor of her high school newsletter, the Bloodstone, published from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids.

Entering into college Berg knew she was going to pursue a degree in both journalism and photography. Her passion for both the visual and written aspects of journalism are leading her toward a future that involves travel and seeing new places. As of 2008, Berg has traveled to Berlin, Germany and has traveled around the US.
