DTP Redesign Assignment
DTP Redesign Assignment
Print Material Source
The original print material is a cost information sheet for students planning to study abroad in South Africa. This handout isn't directly related to any lessons that I have done, but is very useful for providing students with the financial information they would need for international study. Because I am employed by the Center for International Education here on campus, I have been exposed to many informational handouts. Unfortunately, some of them are not visually appealing.

Redesign Summary
I was very pleased with the outcome of my DTP resign project. It is interesting to see how many changes can actually be made on one worksheet or handout. Most importantly it was crucial to keep in mind the four basic design elements: contrast, repetition, proximity, and alignment. When these elements are carefully considered, then the outcome is much more effective. Ultimately, the results of my redesign project allow the reader to read the handout without unnecessary struggle.
