CFMIT Exhibits

At Work in Chippewa Falls
In this exhibit visitors can explore a series of photographs and documents that trace six Chippewa Falls industries from their early beginnings to the present day.

Currently: Piecemakers Quilting Guild (January1 -  March 31, 2006)
In this exhibit visitors can see an array of locally made hand-pieced wall quilts, full size quilts and even quilted clothing. The showcase also includes some antique indigo fabric from the 1890s and old feed sack fabrics from the 1940s.

Kids Science Laboratory
This exhibit is designed to be hands-on and user friendly. It includes microscopes, specimen, aquariums, computers and more! 

Made in Chippewa
This is a rotating exhibit that highlights important and innovative industries in the Chippewa Falls area and their impact. Beginning with the woolens and the boot and shoe industries, CFMIT exhibits historical documents and artifacts as well as current products and information, all with the view of enlightening visitors about what was, and is, "Made in Chippewa."

The Seymour Cray Supercomputer Collection
The Cray Collection, owned by the City of Chippewa Falls, represents the evolution of Seymour Cray’s thinking which led to the supercomputer. A native of Chippewa Falls, Seymour Cray came home to found the company whose products set a benchmark for computing speed. Developing and building Cray supercomputers has been a personal experience for many regional residents.

Traveling Exhibit
A gallery dedicated to short term traveling exhibits. This gallery offers local organizations and individuals the opportunity to showcase various important collections or artifacts.
